With the expansion of its hospitality offering, the estate sought to create an immersive visitor experience—one that seamlessly connects guests to the breathtaking views of the vineyard. At the heart of this vision is the glass balustrade installation, placed atop the new dining space to elevate both aesthetics and functionality.
The design intent behind the balustrades was clear: to enhance the connection between architecture and landscape, ensuring that visitors can take in uninterrupted, panoramic views of the surrounding vineyards while dining or enjoying a glass of Ridgeview’s finest. The frameless glass balustrades achieve this by offering safety without visual obstruction, blending into the horizon and maintaining the purity of the estate’s natural setting.
Positioned above the dining space, the balustrades define an elevated terrace that feels both open and immersive. The transparency of the glazing allows the South Downs to remain the focal point, creating a seamless transition between indoor and outdoor spaces.
