Soal Pond Cottage

Nestled in the picturesque landscape of Petersfield, Hampshire, Soal Pond Cottage is a charming property that exudes traditional English character. Tasked with enhancing this historic cottage, We collaborated closely with our architectural and engineering partners to create a design that marries the old with the new, while preserving the cottage’s inherent charm.

The focal point of the project was the installation of frameless structural glazing, a design choice that introduces a seamless, elegant skylight into the cottage. This addition allows natural light to flood the interior, transforming the space into a bright, inviting haven. The frameless skylights are more than just a source of illumination—they are a contemporary intervention that respects the integrity of the original architecture while subtly modernising the living spaces.

The installation of such glazing, particularly with large panels, presented unique challenges. However, through meticulous planning and precise execution, our team successfully integrated these modern elements into the cottage without disrupting its historic essence.

In addition to the skylights, we installed Legacy Doors and Legacy Windows, carefully selected to complement the aesthetic of the cottage. These products, known for their timeless design and superior craftsmanship, were chosen to maintain the continuity of style throughout the property, ensuring that every detail contributes to a cohesive and harmonious environment.
