Fluid Glass joins the GGF

Fluid Glass is now a member of the Glass and Glazing Federation (GGF), the UK’s principal trade body for the glass and glazing industry. Membership reinforces our commitment to technical standards, quality installation and consumer protection — and gives our clients the reassurance of the GGF Code of Good Practice.

What is the GGF?

The Glass and Glazing Federation represents companies that make, supply and install glass and glazing across the UK. It sets industry standards, provides technical guidance, and runs the consumer advice hub MyGlazing.com, which helps homeowners choose reputable installers and understand their rights. It also promotes the highest technical, health and safety standards across the glass and glazing sector, and represents over 8,000 trade businesses as an industry authority in the UK. The federation also acts as the industry’s voice in local and national politics to help shape and influence policy and legislation.

What does being a GGF member mean for our clients?

It means independent reassurance, with access to a range of services and practical benefits for the business. GGF members work to the GGF Code of Good Practice, follow recognised technical standards, and receive discounts on services and training courses to help improve skills and technical understanding. They are listed on Find a GGF Member, and can use the GGF logo in their branding so customers and consumers can identify committed companies. Through MyGlazing and the directory, people can search for local members when buying glass or glazing products or related services. As the industry moves to the Future Homes Standard — with per-configuration U-value evidence for windows and doors — membership keeps our specification and performance evidence aligned with current best practice.

Why we joined the GGF

“We’ve always worked to rigorous standards, so joining the GGF was a natural step and a good way to formalise what we had already started,” says Adam Randall, co-founder of Fluid Glass. “It gives our clients confidence that the performance we promise — thermal, acoustic and weathertightness — is evidenced and backed by the wider industry framework, while helping us bring additional technical support and technical expertise beyond compliance alone.”

The federation can provide an array of support services, offering guidance on planning, working practices and wider business development in the glazing sector.

Members can also access free recycling of uPVC, aluminium, and timber frames.
